A healthy immune system is able to recognize and remove cancer cells, and boosting natural anticancer immune responses is a key objective of contemporary cancer treatment. Immunotherapy and chemotherapy are two principal strategies for accomplishing this goal. Researchers at the University of California San Diego, along with international collaborators, now report combining the two approaches to successfully treat advanced prostate cancer in mice.
